Controversy marred the opening matches of the Nyanza regional ball games taking place in Homabay.

A match  had to be played in two different pitches in either half

The games which began today saw Migori representatives  Kanga school silence hosts ligisa secondary  2-1 .The match which saw a Kenya Medical training College student arrested as he was  seen dressed in the ligisa jersey forcing the organizers to raise the alarm.he was arrested after he was impersonating himself  as a secondary player .

Trouble had earlier began forcing the organizers to swap pitches at half time due to crowd trouble .

The other match  in the same group saw  defending champions Barding  of Siaya come from a  goal  down to beat  little known Gesero from Kisii County.
