Laiser Hill are the new National secondary ball games soccer champions after beating Lake Regions Barding 3-1 on post match penalties .
The two teams tied 1-1 at normal and extra time in a match that was aired live by NTV .
An estimated 5,000 fans filled the Moi Stadium to watch the finals that began with the ladies final where Coast region representatives St Johns Kaloleni dethroned defending Champions Wiyeta 3-1.
Earlier on Aberdares Passenga Secondary school qualified to the East African Games after edging Friends School Bukembe also on post match penalties
In the final match ,substitute keeper Franklin’s Otieno was the hero for Laiser Hill saving three penalties from Shemi Oluoch,Arnold Onyango and Ndemi Keegan .Laiser Hill had Evans Mutuse,John Macharia and Chris Owino scoring with Kennedy Mwangi shooting wide .
After a barren first half ,Ibrahim Mohammed scored just a minute after resumption when his fierce shot went at the top corner with Juma in Laiser Hill goal clearly displaced .
The keeper however was pulled out in the 56th minute after getting injured.he was replaced by Frankline Otieno.
Laiser Hill piled more pressure and their resilience paid off when Geoffrey Ouma headed home restoring parity with just five minutes to go.
After the match ,Bardings Arnold Onyango and Nginda girls Christine Kitaru were named the most valuable players .
