Ringa and Kisumu Day into semis
Cardinal Otunga High School,Mosocho became a scene of goals as the Nyanza Regional secondary ball games kicked off today
Homabay Champions Ringa and Kisumu Boys were the big winners storming into the semi finals of the competition
Kisumu Day amassed six points from two matches to top group A after beating hard fighting Geserio 2-1 before demolishing Nyansiongo 4-0 .Geserio beat Nyandago from Migori 4-1 but tie with them(Nyandago) on three points after the latter beat Nyansiongo 1-0.
Nyandago now must beat Kisumu Day and hope Geserio fails to get maximum points against whipping boys Nyansiongo from Nyamira.
In Pool B, Nyarach from Rongo silenced Nduru from Kisii 5-2 before holding Barding to a 1- 1 draw.A similar scoreline was witnessed when pre tournament favourites Ringa from Homabay beat Barding 4-1 .
Ringa top the group with Nyarach second .Barding have a point and Nduru last.
The last group matches will be played tomorrow with Group A still open on which team to join Kisumu Day while Pool B has Nyarach and Barding to decide on who joins Ringa
