All is set for the semi finals of this years Airtel Rising stars National secondary ball games .
The preliminaries ended today with favourites Laiser Hill Academy avoiding Barding High school after both schools emerged tops in their respective pools
Barding topped group A despite settling to a 2-2 draw with unfortunate Kathungi who displayed a tikitaka kind of game coming from 0-2 goals down to level 2-2 were tossed out after Bukembe demolished Mau representatives Cheptenye 5-0.
Barding topped the group with seven points a point ahead of Bukembe while Kathungi settled for the third with four points ,Cheptenye finished bottom without a point.
In Pool B,Both Laiser Hill and Passenga sailed through after they settled for a 1-1 draw in a repeat of last years final .Green Palms were unfortunate to make it to the last four despite hitting 8 past Northern region representatives Sabulei
In the girls category Wiyeta beat St Johns Kaloleni 2-0 with both schools sailing through after Itigo Girls slim win over Moi Sindo Girls could not add up for the Highlands represenatives .
In Pool A ,Nyakach shared the spoils with Nginda as both teams sailed through at the expense of Olympic Mixed and Kirigara
The semi final pairings tomorrow are as follows
At the Moi Stadium :
Nyakach v Wiyeta from 9am
Barding v Passenga 11am
At the Kisumu day grounds :
St John Kaloleni v Nginda Girls 9am
Laser hills v Bukembe 11 am
The winners will meet in the finals slated for Saturday with the best three qualifying for the East African ball games later in the month in the town of Eldoret.
