Arsenal have enquired about the possibility of signing Kalidou Koulibary from Napoli,reports say.

The experienced Senegal international has been at  Napoli since 2014, and has established himself as a premier defender in the Italian top flight.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is said to have been attracted to the player as he is blessed with pace to truck runs and is dominant when it comes to physical duels.

The defender was reportedly subject to a number of big money bids last summer – with both Chelsea and Everton said to be fighting over the Senegalese international’s signature at the time.

Koulibaly still has four years left to run on his current deal with Napoli, and would surely command a huge transfer fee if he were to leave the Serie A side this summer.
