A close source in Rwanda indicates that DR Congo reigning champions Association Sportive Vita have tabled a whopping USD 100,000 for the services of AS Kigali and Amavubi striker Ernest Sugira.
The source confirmed that, the player, Vita Club and AS Kigali are at advanced level of talks, and soon there could be “white smoke”
Sugira was one of the of the stand out performers for Rwanda in the ongoing CHAN 2016, scoring three times. He equalized for Amavubi in the 2-1 lose to DR Congo in the quarterfinals played last weekend at Amahoro.
The Black Dolphins Coach Florent Ibenge who is also DR Congo’s tactician at the tournament, is believed to have initiated the talks with Sugira.
He has thus far netted five times in eight matches for AS Kigali the Rwanda Premier League.
When the deal materializes, it will become the most expensive after Jaques Tuyisenge’s USD 40,000 move to Kenya’s Gor Mahia.
Football Career:
2012 – 2013 – AS Muhanga
2014 – APR
2015 – AS Kigali
