Asante Kotoko and Ashanti Gold will represent the country in the 2020/2021 CAF inter-club competitions.
The Porcupine Warriors will feature in the CAF Champions League while the Miners will play in the Confederation Cup.
On Tuesday, the Executive Council held a marathon meeting at the FA’s Secretariat to cancel the remainder of the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League due to the outbreak of Coronavirus.
The decision to select the two to represent the country was by virtue of both winning the Tier One and two of the Normalisation Committee Special Cup which was played last year.
Asante Kotoko club beat Karela United 4-1 on penalties after 1-1 draw in normal time at the Accra Sport Stadium whereas the Ashanti Gold defeated lower-tier side Nzema Kotoko 1-0 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium to win the trophies respectively.
The Kumasi-based were logged on the 4th spot with 25 points while the Obuasi-based on 6th club also had 25 points in the truncated football season.
