Ghanaian league giants Asante Kotoko have sacked former Gor Mahia head coach Zradvko Logarussic barely 3 months since joining the club following a series of poor results.
An official statement from the Kumasi based side revealed that the decision was arrived at after an emergency meeting on Sunday following the Porcupine Warriors barren draw against Ebusua Dwarfs.
“The contract of Coach Zdravko Logarusic has been terminated after an emergency management meeting on Sunday at the club secretariat in Kumasi,The meeting, which was held just after Kotoko’s barren game with Ebusua Dwarfs on match day 11 of the 2016/17 Premier League, was primarily to discuss the coach’s future.”
The Croatian tactician who was previously at the helm of Kenyan league giants AFC Leopards and Tanzanian giants Simba SC, led his charges in 11 league outings, in which he won five, drew four and lost two.
The Porcupine Warriors will now be led by the club’s assistant coach, Godwin Ablordey until a replacement is announced
