Assembly win 2019 Inaugural Eden University National Division Charity Shield

National Assembly beat Young Green Eagles 1-0 in the Inaugural 2019 Eden University Division One Charity Shield final played at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka today.

Both sides missed out on qualification to the Super Division in the Division One Zone playoffs, National Assembly missing out against Kabwe Youth while Green Eagles were pipped by Kansanshi Dynamos.

National Assembly scored the only goal of the game through Godwin Chipanama in the 11th minute to seal the teams first ever piece of silverware on the domestic front.

Young Green Eagles on the other hand will now have to wait for the start of the National Division One League to pick up their own silverware.
