Gabon forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has tested positive for Covid upon landing in Cameroon for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Aubameyang is set to captain his country at the tournament but will miss the opening match against the Comoros on Monday.
The 32-year-old striker was seen partying with his teammates in Dubai before connecting to Cameroon.
Mario Lemina and Assistant Coach Anicet Yala have also tested positive for COVID-19, according to a statement by the Gabonese Football Federation (FEGAFOOT)
Aubameyang and Lemina were both seen in a video circulating on social media, believed to be from the Gabon squad’s trip to Dubai.
Patrice Neveu’s Panthers are due to begin their campaign against Comoros on Monday, January 10, before facing Ghana and Morocco.
Gabon could be without their all-time top scorer for one or more of the games.
