The postponement of the SC Villa VS Express FC match on Friday due to a water logged pitch at Nakivubo stadium has cost the latter the leadership of the Azam Uganda Premier League table.
As a result, KCCA FC and league defending champions Vipers SC have reclaimed their joint top spot the two clubs once held before their games were postponed as well due to Cranes engagements in CHAN qualilifiers.
Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) FC won 2-1 away to Maroons while Vipers beat Soana 2-1 at Kavumba recreational Grounds.
Former Maroons player Muzamir Mutyaba and Birungi Michael netted for KCCA against Kaddu Patrick’s consolation whereas Sadam Juma and Erisa Ssekisambu scored to give Vipers the all important away victory over resilient Soana FC.
In the Jinja derby, a sole goal scored by Augustine Nsumba gave BUL F.C all the three points against visiting Sadolin Paints football club.
Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) continued their poor form by losing 0-1 to league debutants, The Saints F.C thanks to a Jimmy Kulaba own goal.
This was URA’s second consecutive loss at home the last one being a 1-4 humiliation by Sadolin Paints FC last weekend and also the Saints’ first win in seven games.
At the Champions Grounds in Mwelerwe, Bright Stars football club suffered their first loss of the season, losing to visiting Police F.C by a Ssenyonjo Simon Peter’s lone strike.
