Yesterday the Uganda top flight league that is Azam Uganda premier league continued under heavy down pours around the country with match day 7 at different stadiums with seven matches played.

At Kakindu Stadium, Proline FC continued piling pressure on JMC hippos as they registered their first win this term with a 2-1 win remaining in 11th position with 8 points. Defeat consolidated last postion to the home side with 2points. Edriisa Lubega also scored his first goal this term following a five match goal drought as well Daniel Isiagi to seal victory for the new boys.

At Phillip Omondi stadium, home side KCCA FC ended their two season’s “NO WIN” over rivals Express FC in style with a 3-1 win to open up a six point gap at the top of the table. New signing Robert Sentongo scored his third goal in two games to go joint tops scorer, Muzamir Mutyaba and substitute Geoffrey Serunkuma scored the other goals for Mike Mutebi’s side. Talented midfielder Sadam Juma’s wonder strike would do little to save the Wankulukuku based side.

At Namboole stadium, home side Sports Club Villa came from behind to pick up a point over Soana FC through on form winger Tabu Vitalis who canceled out Frank Kalanda’s goal for Sam Simbwa’s side. The draw put Soana FC in fourth position on 12 points tied with SC.Villa who are in second position but with a game in hand.

At Kavumba grounds, Saints FC continued with winning ways over home side Police FC of Sam Timbe with a 1-0 win which took them to 6th position and 15th postion for the Cops which was also their second consecutive defeat.

At Lugazi Mehta stadium, Muzamir and Norman Ojik goals for Sadolin paints FC continued piling pressure on money bags URA FC of Kefa Kisala who have now gone three matches with out a win. 2-1 it ended with on form midfielder Kagimu Shafiq netting his third goal of the season and a consolation on the day.

At Muteesa ll stadium Wankulukuku, visitors Vipers sports club picked up vital points in the Entebbe road derby Over Lweza FC to ensure Uganda cranes midfielder Hassan Wasswa starts on a winning note. Erisa Sekisambu scored the only goal of the match to also go joint top scorer with three goals.

At Bugembe stadium, there was the biggest derby match in Jinja district between new boys Kirinnya Jinja SS of Alex Isabirye against his former bosses of Bul FC. It ended 0-0 in the end not living to it’s hype.
