Ethiopian giants St.George has attracted both great players and coaches over the years because of its great football tradition and passionate football fans across the country.
Dutchman Mart Nooj move to Tanzania as the head coach of the national team Taifa Stars left a huge gap that has yet to be filled with a caretaker coach taking over.
However one Australian coach Nathan Hall thinks he is the man that could help improve the prospects at St.George having followed them for years the young, astute coach Hall did not mince his words when he spoke exclusively to Soka25east.com
“basically, after almost 10 years old in coaching teams in Australia,Oceania & South-East Asia, i’m on the lookout for a completely new challenge and for me coaching the biggest team in Ethiopia and one of the biggest teams in East Africa ticks all the right boxes”
“obviously, a club of the stature and prestige of St George fc (addis ababa) is attractive to any open-minded foreign coach (including myself) and i would be honored to be given the chance to lead the team for the 2014-2015 season. I fully believe that i have the energy, passion, ideas and technical / tactical nous to maximize the abilities of the players and help the club achieve its objectives both domestically & in the regional / Caf competitions”Nathan Hall told Sok25east.com.
“As a person, i’m incredibly ambitious, hardworking & motivated and apart from my partner most of life is centered on football. if given the job, i can promise the fans that the team will play attractive, high-energy, positive, attacking football with a focus on suffocating teams defensively and winning the ball high as high up the pitch as we possibly can”
“Obviously, retaining the local premier league title is of paramount importance. but, to be honest i want to come to addis ababa & create history and take this team further than they have ever gone before in the caf champions league. that’s the ambition!”he added.
