South Africa Womens National team have been forced to release two players from the camp for diffrent reasons,the SAFA website announced on Saturday.
Nomathemba Ntsibande and Roxanne Barker will play no futher in the tournament according to the statement.
Nomathemba was allowed to return home following a family bereavement while Barker was de-registered from the tournament after sustaining a toe injury during training and is expected to be put for the next three weeks.
“The South African Football Association (SAFA) and the entire Banyana Banyana team would like to extend their deepest condolences to the Ntsibande family, and also wish Barker a speedy recovery”,part of statement reads.
Banyana Banyana qualified for semi-finals after walloping Egypt 5-0 on Friday,25 November and now await the indentity of their oponents which will be winners of Group B who will be either Nigeria or Ghana.
Banyana semi final clash is slated for Tuesday,29 November at 2100hrs at Omnisport Stadium in Limbe.
