Azam FC is in mourning following the death of the club chairman Said Mohamed Abeid, who passed on  Monday 7th November 2016 after short illness.

According to infomation released by the club deputy chairman Nassor Idrissa,Mzee Said Mohammed passed away at the Aga Khan Hospital in Dar es Salaam,Tanzania.

Under his leadership as Chaiman of Azam FC he led the club to great heights making it win various trophies including Cecafa Kagame Cup,Tanzania Premier League and Tanzania Charity Shield.

Mzee Said Mahammed at one time served as Vice Chairman of the Tanzania Premier League and also chaired various committees of Tanzania Football Federation.

At Azam FC he will be remembered him for his generosity and hard work.

The deceased was born on March 20,1940 in Zanzibar.He will be buried on Tuesday 8,2016 at the Kisitu Cementry after prayers at Maamour Upanga Mosque.
