Kenya football received a major boost following the entry of Tanzania renowned digital satellite service provider Azam Media Limited with a massive US$750,000 (Kshs.68,250,000) sponsorship per season.
The regional media giant broadcaster entered a three year partnership with Football Kenya Federation(FKF).The agreement also provides the federation to allow a local free to Air station.
AzamTV Chief Executive officer (CEO) Rhys Torrington while handing a cheque of US $ 2,250,000 announced that they are going to take Kenya football to another level.
He revealed that the state-of-the art outside broadcasting van and crew will arrive in the country by Tuesday next week ahead of the debut live transmission.
He said the entire production will be done entirely by Kenyans .He said they will be conducting training in the coming weeks.’We want to assure the country that there are opportunities available and we do encourage those interested to express their desire to work with us”he said.
FKF president Sam Nyaweya welcomed the deal adding that another major sponsorship that will shake the country will be announced to the public in the next coming few weeks.He said the AzamTV sponsrship will expose Kenya players and bring more exciting tidings to the Kenya soccer fraternity..

We are not going to go back to where we were.We also welcome other sponsor’s to join our moving train .Let’s all work together and remain united”said Nyamweya.
The Kenya football Boss disclosed that Fifa is set to send their officials to Kenya in the few coming weeks to inspect the current progress of uniting and bringing football back to its right path.
