It follows the completion of negotiations between the Limpopo based outfit and Makgantai Botswana side Orapa United.
Makgantai has scored eight times for Botswana,the most recent goals coming in a 2-0 win against Swaziland in the Cosafa cup.In June 2018,Makgantai won the top goal scorer prize of the 2018 Cosafa cup after he netted five times in his side six games.
Baroka chairman Kurishi Mphahlele and Chief Executive Officer Morgan Mammila were at the recent Cosafa cup running their eye over players with Makgantai catching their attention as Botswana made the plate final,where they eventually lost 3-0 to Bafana Bafana.
Makgantai is the latest signing made by Baroka ahead of the new season with vastly experienced centre forward David Zulu arrived as a free agent after he was released by NFD side Royal Eagles.
He is the fourth Botswana player to be signed by South African club following the Zebras good run at the Cosafa cup,with Thatayaone Kgamanyane and Kabelo Seakanyeng penning deals with Chippa United before that competition had even been completed.Botswana international left back Lesenya Ramoroka signed by Highlands Park.
