Baroka are expected to make squad changes at the end of the season after what has been a difficult 2019/20 Absa Premiership campaign for the side.
Baroka have struggled with form and results this season In their attempt to bring back the glory days to the Lebowakgomo outfit, the management of the side is said to be considering parting ways with some of the players in the current squad, with a view to bring new faces for the 20/21 season.
Prince Nxumalo is one player likely to be effected by the changes set to take place at Baroka. The former Bidvest Wits striker who was signed last year, has failed to live up to expectations at the club.
When Baroka announced in November last year that the striker had been signed, the club chairman Khurishi Mphahlele said that the player was signed to help the team to challenge for a respectable position on the table.
The player has made just nine league appearances for Bakgaga this season and the 30 year old has seemingly fallen out of favour under Dylan Kerr and his technical team.
A source close to Baroka has indicated that Nxumalo is likely to be released at the end of the season.
There is some interest in the player, with the likes of Maritzburg United and Golden Arrows being linked with the forward.
The two clubs are believed to have been monitoring the player situation at Baroka closely.
In other news from Baroka ,the club has yet to have renewed Innocent Nemukondeni contract. The midfielder could be allowed to leave for a team of his choice at the end of the season, according to a well placed source’s at Baroka.
The former Bloemfontein Celtic player is likely to follow the likes of Kamogelo Mogaswa,Ranga Chivaviro,Mogau Khwinana and Tebogo Sodi and leave Baroka at the end of the season.
