Zimbabwe Vs Zambia
National Sports Stadium-Harare
These teams have played so many times against each and this battle is called a battle of the Zambezi. This will be encounter number 44th time the two teams are meeting with 20 draws, Zambia has 16 wins while Zimbabwe has 8 wins.
The rivarly can not be underplayed because we have serious encounters and this friendly will be one that one both teams wouldn’t want to disappoint their fans.
Zimbabwe participated in the last AFCON while Zambia missed and that alone tells you Zimbabwe is not a push over anymore and will be a good test for a local assembled team of the Chipolopolo.
Zimbabwe has won the last two games played against Zimbabwe via 1-0 victories on 5th November 2016 and 24th August 2013. Actually in August that year on 18th the two teams played to a 0-0 draw.
The last time Zimbabwe lost to Zambia was on 20th July 2013 in the Cosafa Cup. Zambia will be hoping to end this winless streak against their neighbours in this encounter.
A big game for both countries and good preparation …..
