The chairperson for Women in Technical Education and Development (WITED), Mrs Smile Dzisi has revealed that the present Black Queens player will be given full scholarship in any Technical University in the country.

Mrs. Dzisi made the disclosure when she and her team visited the team at their Prampram training camp on Friday, October, 26.

Addressing the team, Mrs Dzisi, said:”All the present members of the BlackQueens will be granted full scholarship in any of its Technical Universities here in Ghana if they wish to continue their Education NO MATTER their qualification.”

She added, “An enabling environment and support should be created for women to achieve their aspirations and careers.”

The team have been in Prampram for the past six weeks and will soon move to the capital to continue with preparation for the continental championship.

Ghana will be involved in an international friendlies with three Group B teams – Kenya, Zambia and South Africa prior to the tournament.

The Total 2018 African Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) will commence from November 17 to December 1.

Two (2) cities namely – Accra and Cape Coast have been earmarked to host the tournament.

Ghana has been paired in Group A with Algeria, Mali and Cameroon.

Holders, Nigeria are in Group B alongside Kenya, South Africa and Zambia.

This year’s edition, staged in the West African country, serves as qualifiers for the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The top three teams qualify for the global football showpiece event in France next year.
