Kenyan Premier League (KPL) Champions Gor Mahia have released a strong their 20-man squad for this year’s edition of the Council of East and Central African Football (Cecafa) Kagame Cup in Kigali, Rwanda on August 8-24.
The biggest casualty was former Kenyan premier league player of the year George Blackberry Odhiambo who missed out on the cut after the team was named by coach Bobby Williamson .
Ugandan quartet of Dan Sserunkuma, Goddfrey Walusimbi, Geoffrey Kizito and Arthur Ssemazzi have all been included in the squad to be captained by Harambee Stars custodian Jerim Onyango by Scottish coach Bobby Williamson ahead of the biannual event.
Joseph Kariuki,Simon Mburu ,Timothy Otieno and youthful defender Charles Bruno have also made the trip .
Mighty K’Ogalo, are in Pool B alongside last year’s runners-up APR of Rwanda, Flambeau from Burundi, Kampala City Council of Uganda and Djibouti’s Telecom, will depart for Kigali on August 6 two days ahead of their opening tie against KCC at Amahoro Stadium.
