Muhoroni Youth Director Moses Adagala has confirmed the signing of John Bobby Ogala as the new head coach.

“We are happy to announce the appointment of John Bobby Ogola as our head coach to fill the gap left by James Omondi.” Adagala said.

Ogolla on Friday at the club’s offices located along Muhoroni – Kisumu road inked five years deal with the “Cane Cutters” – he replaces James “Odijo” Omondi who parted ways with the team before the Sportpesa Premier League’s mid season breather.

Prior to his appointment, the “Six Million Dollar Man” as Ogola is fondly known occupied a similar post at league strugglers City Stars whom he joined in January 2016.

The experienced gaffer was part of Gor Mahia’s technical bench which delivered three league titles on the bounce, including last year’s invincible run – he served under three foreign coaches as an assistant from 2012 – 2015, winning all cups available on the local scene.

He (Ogolla) was also an assistant to Robert Matano in 2009 when Sofapaka won the league in the first year of promotion

The grey haired tactician has also had a coaching stint with the national team Harambee Stars. His stay at City was however disastrous with the team winning just two matches in 15 outings.

He will have to dig deep into his past glories to inspire sixth placed Muhoroni Youth to a maiden tittle which remains their season target.
