FT NKANA 3-1 KYSA SAT, SEP 17, 2016
Former Nchanga Rangers Striker Bornwell Mwape scored a brace and turned provider later to qualify Nkana to the semi’s of this years Barclays Cup. Nkana put up an impressive second half performance to dispatch off stubborn Kabwe Youth Sports Academy.

Nkana went into this match without the services of 2 time Golden Boot winner Ronald Sate-Sate Kampamba who is recovering from injury. Fred Tshimenga was also another key player missing due to illness.

The game started with Nkana firing warning Shots, Bornwell hit the post twice while Walter Missed a gracious Chance with only the goal to beat. Walter was shown red [2 yellow cards] late into the first Half due to an altercation with the referee. The first half ended with things all square.

The second half started with KYSA piling pressure and the pressure paid off as they got a penalty which Daniel Chama coolly put past Malunga. Aggrey Chiyangi decided to remove Harrison Musonda and bring on Jacob Ngulube. The move paid off as the amazing Ngulube provided a delicious ball for Bornwell who headed in nkana’s equaliser.

Bornwell was on fire despite missing a number of Chances as he put a low powered shot past KYSA’s goalKeeper to take Nkana into the lead.Shadreck Musonda was replaced by Chanda Mushili who brought some fresh energy into the game.

Nkana finished off the game with a third goal as Bornwell Mwape set up Austin Muwowo who beat KYSA’s goalkeeper with a high powered shot from within the 18 yard area. There were a number of chances at both ends but Nkana held on to win 3-1 and advance to the semi finals.
