Botswana Football Association (BFA) executive committee has suspended Botswana Premier League board with immediate effect.
In a statement that was read by Botswana Football Association President Tebogo Sebego the board will remain suspended until the football running body general assembly where decision will be made.
Tebogo Sebogo continue to say that in the mean time BFA will run the BPL office citing reasons of suspension that include condoning a match between Galaxy and Center Chiefs.
He also cited the actions taking the football association to court, continued interference with the main league sponsors as well as failing to obey orders to reinstate Mamelodi as another reason for suspension.
Botswana premier league officials engagement with Botswana National Sports Council in matters that could have been discussed and resolved with the football association also contributed to the football body action.
The BPL board suspension however will not interfere with the weekend scheduled game and if there will be any changes the football running body will communicate.
All concerned teams which think they cant take part on the game were informed to communicate with BFA and actions will be taken to whoever does not abide by the rules.
