Brazil beat Mali 2-0 to grab bronze in the 2017 FIFA U17 World Cup in Kolkata, India Saturday.

Mali were the only African team remaining in the competition after they knocked out Ghana at the quarters stage.

Despite bossing the game, Mali frustratingly labored to see the back of the net.

Brazil on the other hand grabbed two opportunities in the second half to bury the game and take bronze home.

Alan put Brazil in the lead in the 55th minute with a feeble low shot which Mali goalkeeper Youssouf Koita horribly failed to pick as the ball rolled through his hands into the net.

Koita felt inconsolably devastated at the end of the match.

With minutes fading off, Mali surged forward in droves in search of the leveler – managing to pin the South Americans in their own half.

But a quick break saw Yuri Alberto double the lead from close range to seal the game 2-0.

The final later today will be contested between Spain and Brazil.
