CAF has accepted Mamelodi Sundowns request to bring forward their Champions League match day 2 fixture away to Horoya AC in Conakry, Guinea from 15th to 22nd May 2018.
Sundowns made the request to allow them play Spanish giants Barcelona in a friendly on 16th May as part of celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the anti apartheid icon Nelson Mandela.
“Following a cordial agreement between the two clubs, the group C match day 2, between Horoya (Guinea) and Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa) has been rescheduled for Tuesday, 22 May 2018 at the Stade 28 Septembre in Conakry, Guinea,” CAF statement reads in part.
Meanwhile, the other group C match between Wydad Athletic Club (Morocco) and AS Togo Port (Togo) will go as planned on the 15th May 2018.
