Zesco United head Coach George Chicken Lwandamina has resigned as coach of Zesco United and the management of the Club have accepted his resignation. The club confirmed the development through a press statement dated 7th November 2016 and availed to all media houses.

A source from Tanzania told Soka25east.com yesterday. that the club was still in hot pursuit for his signature. The Club wants the deal to be done away from eyes of the media.

“There are so many things that have continued
between Yanga and Lwandamina but mostly
they want to make it private”.the source said

“Even last time when he landed in Tanzania they wanted to make it secret but here the media publish so it’s so controversial . Lwandamina will come Tanzania if things go as planned”. The source further added

Lwandamina is believed to have been offered a
K180 000 monthly salary which is about 5 times his current salary.

ZESCO United Football club would like to announce that Head Coach George Lwandamina this morning tendered in his resignation from his position with immediate effect. The club has accepted his resignation and would like to thank him for the work and contribution during his stay.

Lwandamina joined the club in 2014 and has won two league titles, one Barclay’s cup, Charity Shield and guided the club to the 2016 edition of the CAF champion’s league semi-finals. The club would also like to announce that
Assistant coach Tenant Chembo has been appoint as acting Head Coach until the end of the season.We would wish Lwandamina success in his new journey.
