A Ugandan football player has called Soka25east to declare he is alive and that reports of his death in a section of press were exaggerated.
Ronald Kiggundu a goalkeeper with FUFA Big league side Kyambogo FC that features in national second division league,Elgon group was reported to have been knocked by a boda boda cyclist on his way to training on Saturday 8th April ahead of today’s Kyambogo versus Maroons FC game and was declared dead at Kadic Hospital in Kampala.
“The whole thing is just blown out of the water.Actually i am in Dubai, am likely to come back on Wednesday.
“I think when Kyambogo CEO Semanda realised I went he decided to pronounce me dead, may be he didn’t want to play the Maroons game.
” I am currently doing damage control, I wish you knew how many people I am telling I am not dead. … I am pleading to people that someone circulated wrong information so I don’t really understand,” said Kiggundu in a phone interview with Soka25east.
The shocking news of Kiggundu death had been confirmed by his club, with the league organizers ,FUFA postponing the Big League match between that had been scheduled to be played this afternoon.
