AFC Leopards disgruntled keeper Wycliff Kasaya is set to sign for FKF Premier league side Nakumatt in a one year lucrative deal that will make him one of the highest paid players playing locally in Kenya Soka25east.com can reveal.
Kasaya met with the Nakumatt top officials led by the Human Resources manager on Tuesday in Nairobi where he gave his demands which were accepted by Nakumatt who however insisted in signing him in a one year contract unlike the 6 months he had requested for.
“Yes its true i spoke with Nakumatt officials extensively and after meeting both Bandari and Sony Sugar and listening to their offers i think Nakumatt have impressed me.As a footballer it is not my wish to leave AFC Leopards but again i have a life to lead and obligations to be met and i would not like to be a beggar or be a man who keeps on asking fans for help”
“After alot soul searching i have made up my mind to sign for Nakumatt it doesnt matter if they are not in the Kenyan premier league as my main aim is to be part of the players that will help them gain promotion to the league and inturn make a life for myself unlike he current situation where making ends meet is a big problem” Kasaya exclusively told Soka25east.com
Nakumatt who sponsored Harambee Stars trip to Congo at a cost of Ksh 2 million have been on a spending spree as they bolster their team in the hope of being promoted to the top tier KPL.
Kasaya’s lucrative deal includes a sign on fee and salary that includes impressive bonusses. He will join Martin Imbalambala who completed his move. His two colleagues Jacob Keli and Bernard Mangoli are also in talks with the team for a possible move.
