Kenyan international striker Allan Wanga’s move to South African Premier Soccer League side Bidvest Wits is all but sealed Soka25east.com can exclusively reveal.
Allan Wanga who declined to renew his contract with Sudanese side Al Merreikh where he made headlines with his goal scoring prowess has received his Air ticket from Bidvest Wits and is scheduled to travel to South Africa on the 24th June where he is expected to put pen to paper.
Speaking exclusively to Soka25east.com Wanga did not deny the revelation of the new development saying “Yes its true I have received Bidvest Wits have already sent me my flight ticket and letters to help in my acquisition of a visa at the South African embassy”
“I am glad that Bidvest Wits have been keen on me for sometime now and Ifinally see things going in the positive direction.I will be travelling to South Africa on June 24th to finalise the details.PSL is a very competitive league and one of the best in Africa and I belive it will be a turning point in my career”Wanga told Soka25east.com
Wanga’s contract with Sudanese giants El Merreikh expires at the end of this May .
Wanga has played a pivotal role for El Merreikh since his arrival at the club at the beginning of June 2014 where he helped them win the Cecafa Kagame cup hosted by Rwanda.
Soka25east.com reliably learnt that Wanga was not happy after Al Mereikh were reluctant to improve his contract despite being one of the best perfomers in the team.
Wits is set to drop two foreigners namely Ethiopian Getaneh Kebede and Zambian striker Christopher Katongo in order to accommodate the new acquisitions, that include Allan Wanga.

With the Sudan league currently on mid-season break, Wanga was the second top scorer in the league with five goals while at club level, he is the top scorer with seven goals.
Wanga Allan is regarded as Kenya’s main striker at the moment, in the wake of the impending retirement of Dennis Oliech from the national set up.
He has previously enjoyed successful spells in Angola with Petro Atletico, alongside other stints in Vietnam, Azerbaijan, Sudan plus in the Kenyan Premier League where he has played for Tusker, Sofapaka and AFC Leopards.
In December 2013, Wanga scored two goals that enabled Kenya to beat Sudan 2-0 and win the Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup in Nairobi.
