South Sudan international defender Ater Thomas has joined Saudi Arabian side Al-Orobah.
The 30-year-old joins the Saudi Professional League outfit on a two-year contract from Kuwait’s Al-Fahaheel FC.
Before his earlier move to Kuwait that happened in January this year,Ater was in Sudan where he played local side, Police FC.
Details of the amount exchanged for his signature were not realesed but sources close to the player indicates he joined at a tune of €500,000.
Ater has played for South Sudan team 17 times becoming the most capped player in the national team.His move to Saudi Arabia is also a record on its own as he has become the first South Sudanese to ever play in Saudi top tier league.
