Lato Milk and Fero Mobile both owned by Midcom Group of Companies are the official shirt sponsors of Azam Premier League side Bright Stars FC.
The new two year partnership was launched on Wednesday and though officials declined to reveal the value of the deal, it is estimated to be worth USh130million per year.
Speaking at the launch, Lato Milk head of new markets Shyam Kotecha said they are excited to have new partners in Bright Stars FC and expressed confidence that the partnership will lead both brands to high levels.
“I am very delighted to partner with Bright Stars football club.
They have the numbers and organized to give our company mileage as we also start the journey of venturing into football”, Kotecha told
the press.
Bright Stars chairman Ronnie Mutebi said the deal with Lato Milk gives his club the best value and that is why they settled on it. “The deal gives us stability ahead of the new season and we are happy with it .”
Bright Stars FC will open the Azam Uganda Premier League campaign against SC Vipers on Friday 19th August at Nakivubo Stadium with their next UPL match slated for Tuesday 23rd August against new comers Onduparaka at Mwererwe.
