Following the resignation of the Serbian boss Srdjan Zivojnov, Buildcon Football Club have elevated his assistant coach Tenant Chembo as acting head coach.
Zivojnov resigned from the Ndola based side after feeling that his football ambitions and philosophies were different from that of club proprietor Mr. Moses Mubanga.
The changes are confirmed in a press statement realised by the club media.
“The club wishes to thank the coach [Srdjan] for his contributions to the Buildcon project during his tenure. Further the club wishes him the best in his future endeavors. Meanwhile, assistant coach Tenant Chembo will act as head coach until further notice. The club now wishes coach Tenant the best as he embarks on his new role. We thank everyone for your continued support,” reads the press statement.
Buildcon will this weekend start life without the Serb as they host Young Buffaloes of Eswatini in the first leg of the CAF Confederations Cup to be played at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola
