The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has agreed on Wednesday to postpone Senegal’s Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier against Guinea.
This comes after Senegalese Football Federation sent a request to CAF so that they can allow FSF conduct its general assembly.
The match was due to take place on 12th August but CAF has said the game would be held on 15th of the same month after it left both parties to agree on the date.
This has been revealed by Senegal Football Federation’s Alpa Fall in a interview with a Guinean website.
“After a meeting with Guinean side,we have agreed to postpone the first leg to Tuesday 15th August,”he said
“And for the return leg,it will be played a week later on August 22 in Conakry,”added Alpha.
Senegal national team began training on Monday for this two legged encounter against Guinea which is final phase to African Nations Championship is scheduled for January 2018 in Kenya
CHAN 2018 will be the 5th edition of this competition which was launched in 2009 (Côte d’Ivoire), before being organized by Sudan (2011), South Africa in 2014 and Rwanda in 2016.
The competition reserved for players playing in the leagues of their country.
