CAF has released dates for the 2017 African Cup of Nations Qualifiers which will be held between March 23 and 29. Kenya’s home and away date with Guinea Bissau has also been set.
Harambee Stars will begin away from home, playing on Wednesday March 23 in Bissau before hosting the West Africans in the return leg in Nairobi on Sunday March 27 at the Nyayo National Stadium.
The newly appointed Harambee Starw technical bench led by Stanley Okumbi and assisted by legend Musa Otieno and Frank Ouna are expected to embark on preparations sometimes next week in Nairobi.
Harambee Stars are placed third in Group E with only one point, three behind leaders Congo Brazzaville and Zambia who both have four points. The two sides face each other on the same dates Kenya will be playing Guinea Bissau.
Neighbors Uganda who lead their group will face Burkina Faso away from home in the first leg fixture on Saturday 26 match before playing the return leg at the Namboole Stadium on Tuesday March 29.
Tanzania will begin their match day three away from home, facing Chad in N’Djamena on Wednesday 23 March while the return leg at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam will be played on Monday March 28.
