CAF has has awarded Tanzania rights to host Africa finals for youths U 17 in 2019.Tanzania had put its bid with the support of the government through the Ministry of Sports.
The news was received with jubilation as Tanzania football federation(TFF) President Jamal Malinzi said It was a great honour to Tanzania to have been considered for the tourney.
“Hosting an African youth final is a great step in football development and will open doors towards hosting Afcon finals in future”
“Its time now to put together a formidable squad for this tournament.We will start with a National U13 Tournament in June 2015”
“Through this year’s U13 National tournament in Mwanza we will form a nuclear squad to be developed into a competitive U17 squad in 2019”an elated Jamal Malinzi said on his official twitter account.
