Enugu Players have reportedly gone on strike and refused to board airplane to Ndola, Zambia for CAF Confederations Cup playoffs second leg tie against Zesco United.

The players are demanding their pay and have let members of the technical bench to travel on their own for the Saturday clash at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Rangers drew 2-2 with Zesco in the first leg played last week in Enugu, Nigeria – leading to the sacking of coach Imama Amapaakabo.

Chukwuma Agbo took over the reins on an interim basis. Agbo is all the coach of the national beach soccer team.

The “flying antelopes” as Rangers are known, let go a healthy lead against Zesco settle for a 2-2 stalemate – handing the Zambian giants slight advantage – heading into the second leg.
