Asante Kotoko will leave nothing to chance in their second leg of the CAF Confederations Cup preliminary round on Wednesday against CARA Brazzaville of Congo.
This has been declared by Kotoko’s captain Amos Frimpong who has promised an open game against an opponent whom they beat 1-0 at Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi last Sunday in a dramatic encounter where three penalties were missed.
In an interview with Accra based radio station Asempa FM the Kotoko defender stated their first priority as a team is to qualify for the group stage.
“We know it won’t be easy but we are ready to go all out and win,” he said.
Frimpong also called the fans to rally behind the team as the mission in front of them is possible in their journey to conquer Africa.
“I want to tell all Kotoko fans to continue supporting us because we are ready to qualify and make them proud.”
Asante Kotoko are expected to leave Ghana on Monday with the return leg played on Feb 21.
The battle between the two sides will be staged at Stade Alphonse Massamba Debat and the winner will face Ben Guerdane of Tunisia in the next round of the competition.
