A brace from Raphael Manuvire in both halves and a goal by Roynad Chitiyo put Harare City one hand into the second round with an encouter against Zanaco ahead of the second leg of the 2016 CAF Confederation Cup preminary round.
The deadlock was broken after 31 minutes of play.Zimbabwe International Chitiyo opened the scoring before Manuvire added another to give the home side a 2-0 lead at halftime.
AS Adema came back from the recess strongly and struck twice through Nome Florent and Voavy Kassah to restore parity.Manuvire’s strike late in the second half was all the Harare based club needed to have an upper hand.
The winner of this tie will play Zambia’s Zanaco FC in the second round.Harare City will travel to Madagascar for the second leg in two weeks time.
