KCCA FC bagged a convincing 3-1 win at home by hammering FUS Rabat in their CAF Confederations Cup group stage clash on Sunday evening.

Geoffrey Sserunkuma,Sadam Juma and Isaac Muleme were all on target as Kasasiro boys overpowered their Morrocan counterparts.

Kasasiros had the first real chance at goal in the ninth minute, when Muleme broke through FUS Rabat defence with a good turn, but Aymane Majid pulled off a great save to deny the striker from close range.

The homeboys opened the scoring five minutes to the end first half, with Geoffrey Sserunkuma calmly converting from the spot in the 40th minute.

In the second half Kasasiro boys extended the lead in the 52nd minute with a fine right-footed strike from Sadam Juma just outside the box catching Mayid out to his right.

Mohammed Saud was unlucky to have a decent penalty shout waved away by the referee, after he was clipped inside the KCCA box en-route to a tantalising through-ball from Khalis in the 56th minute.

Muzamir Mutyaba came agonisingly close to getting on the scoresheet on the stroke of half-time but was unlucky to be denied by the crossbar, after shrugging off two defenders.

Five minutes after hour mark, Kasasiros extended the lead when Isaac Muleme picked the ball inside the box to slot home from Sseeunkuma delivery.

Allan Okello then had an excellent chance to extend the lead 10 minutes later as Musamali broke away on a counter-attack down the left flank before picking out the former inside the area, but the midfielder’s shot went over the bar with just the keeper to beat.

Lamine Diakite handed his side an away goal with few minutes to the end slotting home past Lukwago with a low right-footed shot.

The win  KCCA FC lifts them to the top of the table with nine points.

The Uganda champions next travel to Tunisia for a date with Club Africain in their last group clash next weekend.
