The Burundi National stadium will host the first leg of the CAF Confederations cup between Le Messenger and Zesco on the 18th March 2017
According to Malawi FA, Dennis Ngulube will be the match referee with Edward Kambatuwa as 1st Assistant Referee while Hendrix Maseko will be the 2nd Assistant Referee.
Duncan Lengani has been assigned as the 4th official (Match Commissioner).
Malawi top flight has been under critism with biased refereeing decisions but the top
Malawian referees have been commended for doing great work while in the line of duty on the international scene despite being heavily criticised when discharging their duties on the domestic scene accusing them of being incompetent.
This was witnessed by the suspension of some top referees during the last soccer season for making dubious decisions that also caused match abandonment in elite league games.
