Uganda Cup holders Vipers SC have landed safely in the Comoros capital,Moroni ahead of Saturday’s fixture where they will be taking on their hosts Volcan de Moroni in the return leg of the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round.
The contingent led by Fufa executive member Lwere Sam touched down at the Prince Said Ibrahim international in Moroni at 15.45 hours.
The journey started from Entebbe with a 40 minutes stop over in Nairobi before connection to Moroni aboard Kenya Airways having experienced some delay to six of the contingent members.
The team is accommodated at Retaj Moroni hotel situated just 4 kilometres from the match venue.
The game will be played at the Stade de Moroni, the city’s main stadium which is an artificial turf. It will be quite easy for Vipers to get along on the pitch as they have been training at the artificial turf in Phillip Omondi Stadium in Kampala.
