KCCA FC of Uganda began their ‘CAF Champions League campaign with a 3-2 loss to African Stars of Namibia in the first leg of Preliminary Round in Windhoek.
Coach Mike Mutebi put his faith in young Allan Okello and Patrick Kaddu to lead the attack.
It was KCCA took the lead after 13 minutes when Stars player Kamberipa put the ball in his own net.
In the 19th minute, the Ugandan side almost made it 2-0 when, Kizza Mustafa makes a mazy run down the right flank and unleashed a shot only to rattle the woodwork.
African Stars were awarded a penalty in the 40th minute after Peter Magambo handled in the box, Ambrosius Amseb slotted home from the spot.
Youssouf Ibroihim put African Stars ahead in the 71st minute.
Allan Okello suffered an injury and had to be brought off the field of play to be replaced by Eric Ssenjobe
With seven minutes to go, Kaddu Patrick equalized from close range to grab another away goal.

A loss for KCCA FC but but they have two precious away goals ahead of their second leg in Uganda.
