A QUICK LOOK AT THE CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE GROUP STAGE
Group stage enters into round three of games with explosive matches dotted accross Africa on Tuesday 17th July 2018. But before we get to the next games, let me remind you of the round two results and were we are in each group:
The last matches of the CAF Champions League Group stage took place on Tuesday May 15 and Wednesday May 16 with the following Results :
Group A
Last Games
FC Kampala City Council FC 2 – 0 Al Ahly Sporting Club
Esperance 4 – 1 Township Rollers F.C
Esperance comes into round three as leaders of the group while Township Rollers and KCC are on three points after their one wins so far in two games. Al Ahly Sporting Club is still winless and yet to pick a point in the group.

GROUP B
Last Games
Difaâ El Jadidi 0–2 TP Mazembe
ES Sétif 0–1 MC Alger
The group with two Algerian clubs and TP Mazembe comes into round three with two perfect results keeping them top while Alger managed one win and a draw keeping them second on four points.
Difaâ El Jadidi picked a point in their Algerian derby but the Tunisian ES Setif can no longer afford to drop more points after two successive losses.
Round 3 sees TP Mazembe, the leaders welcome MC Alger while Difaâ El Jadidi are away to ES Setif.

GROUP C
Last Games
Wydad Casablanca 3–0 AS Togo-Port
Horoya 2–2 Mamelodi Sundowns
Wydad Casablanca and Horoya come to round three locked on four points but Wydad has a better goal difference. Sundown with two draws have to start winning if they have a chance of making it out of the group. AS Togo are bottom placed having lost all the two games.
Round three has the top two on four points meeting up in a fight of the top slot with Horoya welcoming Wydad Casablanca while Sundown are away to AS Togo.

Mbabane Swallows 1 – 0 Club Desportivo 1 de Agosto
Étoile Sportive du Sahel 2-1 Zesco United FC
Etoile Du Sahel and Mbabane Swallows share top slot on four points with Zesco United and Club Desportivo 1de Agosto on one point after picking only one point from two games.
The four points teams meet up while the the teams on one point have a date in Ndola. With whatever result from round three, either Mbabane Swallows or Etoeile will still be leading the table as ZESCO United and Agosto do catch up.
