CAF Champions League group battle enters day four tomorrow with potentially enthralling match-ups on the cards.

Staggering defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns travel north for a reverse clash against Esperance du Tunis at Stade Olympique, Tunis Tunisia Wednesday.

Placed third in group C standings on four points, “the Brazilians” went down 1-2 in the first leg staged in Pretoria on 2nd June.

Feeling rejigged after the international break, the coach Pitso Masimone’s charges will be out reboot their campaign, while Esperance, who tops the group on seven points – two better than second placed St. George, will be seeking to stretch their lead further.

Group debutants St. George will be in Kinshasa to take on the weeping boys AS Vita Club Tuesday. The horsemen will be going for a double having won the initial duel 1-0 in Addis Ababa.

Vita are winless in three outings and are as good as out of the competition. A win for St. George could take them top of the group on eight points depending on the outcome between Esperance and Sundowns.

A fierce battle in group D is seething between Wydad Casablanca and record champions Al Ahly at Mohammed V Stadium , Casablanca Tuesday.

Al Ahly stamped their authority in the first leg which they won 2-0 in Egypt – taking them joint top of the group on seven points same as Zanaco.

On the same day, floundering Coton Sport, who are winless in the group will host Zambian champions Zanaco at Omnisports Roumde Adji Stadium, Garoua.

A double over the Cameroonians could see Zanaco leapfrog Al Ahly at the top with ten points.

Group B leaders Zamalek travel to Algeria to face USM Alger in Algiers Tuesday. The two sides played to a 1-1 draw in the first leg in Alexandria, Egypt in day three.

No team has won more than a match in this group but that could change in day four.

Maximum points for Zamalek, who over the weekend finished outside the champions league bracket in the Egyptian Premier League, will see them enhance their chances of reaching the last eight.

CAPS United will be away to Al Ahli Tripoli in Egypt on the same day. The Libyan outfit thumped CAPS 3-1 in Harare, Zimbabwe in the first leg and will be seeking a double in the return match.

Ahli on four points at position three in the group could ascend to the top with a win.

Etoile Du Sahel on seven points in group A will be gunning for maximum points against Al Hilal in Omndurman, which could see them become the first team to book a slot in the quarters.

The first clash in Algeria was tied 1-1. In the other group match, second placed Ferroviario Beira will face-off against bottom placed Al Merrikh in Khartoum.
