Top dogs TP Mazembe saw off CAF Champions league new comers Smouha 2-1.Rainford Kalaba opened the scoring in first half and Daniel Adjei Nii scored the second in 82nd minute to insure Mazembe stay top of group A before Al Hilal lock horns with Moghreb Tetouan on Sunday.

In Algeria,USM Algers maintained a perfect streak in the group stages after beating their neighbors MC El Eulma 2-1.Kadour Beljelilali scored in 16th minute before Mohammed Seguer increased the former’s lead in first half.

Eulma pulled one through Nadir Korichi in penultimates of the first half.The visitors failed to score the second goal in latter stages of the game to restore parity.

Algers have nine points,six better than Al Merriekh and ES Setif who squares off each other today.
