Yet another trouble to Young Africans ahead of their CAF Champions league clash against Zambian champions Zanaco.
The Tanzania Football Federation rejected Young African’s request to have their league match tomorrow against Mtibwa and next weeks FA clash with Kiluvya postponed.
This development has forced the defending Vodacom League champions to cancel their ealrier planned training camp trip to the islands of Pemba
speaking to Daima a daily newspaper from Dar ,Yanga secretary general Boniface Mkwasa said they will not travel to Pemba after their plea to have the two matches shelved for another day “We can not go to Pemba on Tuesday and get back on friday for the Champions league,our players will be so tired for the match,we have a huge task to defend the league ,do well in the continental and also the FA Cup” he said
Meanwhile,the defending champions got a lifeline from the court of law in which two former offcials of the clubare challenging their decision for improper termination and by that wanted the gate collection for last week derby creditated on their accounts .TFF current secretary general Selestine mwesigwa and Louis Sendeu who were former yanga offcials accompanied by their lawyer Mussa Kichya wanted their 2012 case where they claim a sum totoal of 151 Million tanzanian shillings from yanga be finalized .
Yanga represented by lawyer Onesmas Mpinzile and financial offciers Baraka Desusdedit managed to stop any proceedings at the court to have the gate collections awarded to the former officials .The case has been set for another day
