Botswana’s Township Rollers captain Maano Ditshupo is hopeful that the Blues will complete their unfinished business and advance to the next stage of CAF Champions League despite trailing 2-1 after preliminary round first leg away to CNaPS of Madagascar.

The match is slated to kick-off at 1600hrs at National Stadium in Gaborone on Saturday and the Blues skipper beleives his side can emerge victorious.

“CNaPS is a good side, but we know they are beatable. Even in Madagascar where we mostly worked on containing them defensively, we still created a few chances to score. This time we will be at home, taking the game to our opponents, and I believe we can get goals, win and go through,” Ditshupo told club portal,rollersfc.com.

Ditshupo says that they have noticed how CNaPS play, and will be working on countering their approach.

“They play quick balls mostly through the wide areas, and we will be careful of the threat they pose. We want to impose ourselves in this game from the beginning, I feel an early goal could make them press panic buttons and allow us to take control,” Ditshupo

Ditshupo also added that  the morale is high and he is confident that the fans will come out in large numbers to cheers the Popas.

“In Madagascar we played in a stadium full of opposing fans, we worked hard although we didn’t have support. Now we are home, we urge the supporters to come in big numbers to help us climb this mountain, they should give us the lift we need to go through.”
