KCCA FC number one fan, Khassim Kyazze has predicted that his team will go through to the CAF Champions League quarter-finals ‘without a problem’.

KCCA who are in the group stage for the first time in their history are faced with two tough trips to North Africa where they will meet Egyptian giants Al Ahly as well as Esperance of Tunisia in Group A and will also face Township Rollers FC of Botswana.

Before our interview, Khassim, well known to thousands of soccer fans, insists on “kitting up first”- he changes into his team colours and completes the look with body painting with a vuvuzela on his hands.

“I am ready to talk about KCCA FC now,” he says, smiling.

The 26-year old who particularly lives in football stressed that if the Mike Mutebi’s squad keep their heads high on their recent performances, it will not be impossible for them to reach the last-eight.

“Our boys will make it to quarters and go on to lift the trophy. I believe in the squad, it is younger and these boys are more energetic and hungry for victory,” said Khassim.

“They also see that the reward is great and want to win. My team have gotten a facelift and a new kind of energy and it is wonderful to watch them play. The squad is ready for Al Ahly and any other team in the group- I see no threat for our boys.”

Khassim is one of those fanatics who gives his all when supporting his team. In victory or defeat, Khassim is always behind the team, using his trademark body colours to inspire other fans to show the same spirit.

“I like to be a technical advisor to supporters. I encourage them to travel with the team. And remember It’s not the field of play that matters ….,”he concluded.

KCCA FC will play their first game in the group stages away from home against Township Rollers between May 4-6  in Gaborone,Botswana.
