Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr has defined Tunisian giants real time wasters in the CAF Champions league clash yesterday at the Machakos Stadium
Speaking after the goalless draw ,the tactician noted that the visitors were not targeting any away win instead came to defend to get a goalless draw
“We kept on running for 90 minutes but they must have spent over 30 minutes lying down claiming fatigue but with an intent of wasting time with the goalkeeper the biggest culprit taking more than 3 minutes in the ground ”
Gor wasted several goal scoring opportunities to have the match goes their way but the Esperance keeper saved the day.
Kerr praised his players after the match and urged them not to go to Tunisia scared.
“I have just said to the players not to be scared of their opponents away and after 24 hours of our preparation which was a disaster spending more than seven hours in traffic and recovering to play like this is amazing. We should have scored seven goals and we missed two clear chances but credit to my boys” Said Kerr
They clash on the return leg on 17 March in Rades.
